針對東部(宜蘭、花蓮、台東)沿海進行矽藻調查，目前已鑑定出67屬171種矽藻藻種，其中以Nitzschia屬藻種最多，Navicula屬其次，在都蘭鼻樣點調查的矽藻藻種多樣性最高，為40種矽藻。

A total of 171 diatom species belonging to 67 genera were identified

in the coastal area of eastern Taiwan(Yilan,Hualian and Taitung), Among them, the Nitzschia genus has the highest richness , Navicula is the second, and the diversity of species is the highest in the Dulanbe ,there are 40 species of diatom.
