Abstract

Two olethreutine genera, Metendothenia Diakonoff, 1973 and Xenolepis Diakonoff, 1973, are reported from Lanyu Island, Taiwan, for the first time. A newly recorded species, Metendothenia mesarotra (Meyrick, 1911), was reared from Drypetes littoralis (C. B. Rob.) Merr. and Putranjiva formosana Kaneh. & Sasaki ex Shimada (Putranjivaceae). Xenolepis syamanlamurani Lu, Hsu & Hsu, sp. nov. is described, reared from Rourea minor (Gaertn.) Alston. Illustrations of the male and female adults, genitalia and the immature stages of both species are also provided.
